The following factors will determine the rank in the group:
- Score (3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss)
- Higher number of wins
- Higher number of touchdowns scored
- Lower number of touchdowns conceded
- In case of equality, after the 4 first factors, the ranking between Participants displayed in-game will not matter. Tiebreaker will be as follow:
In case of a tie between 2 Participants only:
- Head to head – If the tie is between Participant A and Participant B, and Participant A won his group match against Participant B, then Participant A is ranked better.
- If the head to head ended up as a draw during the group match, a decisive tiebreaker match with overtime activated is organized the next day.
In case of a tie between 3 Participants only:
- A new ranking is established, counting only the matches between those 3 players, using the same factors than previously stated for the full group.
- If 2 Participants remain tied, refer to the rules to untie 2 players. If the 3 Participants are still tied, tiebreakers matches will be organized as follows:
- If the tied Participants are fighting for rank #1 and for rank #2 of the group, 2 Participants will be randomly chosen. They will face each other in a match with overtime. The loser of the match faces the 3rd Participant, who did not play in the previous match. The winners of the 2 matches are randomly declared rank #1 or rank #2 if they did not face each other in the tiebreaker match, or the winner of their tiebreaker match is declared rank #1 and the loser rank #2 is they did face each other, and they both advance to the next phase.
- If the tied Participants are fighting over the rank #2 of the group, 1 Participant will be randomly chosen. He will wait for a match with overtime between the 2 other Participants and will face the winner. The winner of this second match is declared rank #2 of the group and advances to the next phase.
In case of a tie between 4 Participants:
- Participants are randomly paired for a tiebreaker match. The 2 winners advance to the next phase. If the group match between the 2 winners was a draw, rank #1 and rank #2 are defined randomly, but if one the 2 did win the match, the winner is rank #1 and the other is rank #2.
Note that tiebreaker matches will not be made if it concerns only 2 Participants that are ranked #3 and #4 of the group as it will have no effect on the knockout stage.
